Musician, educator, author, and poet, Jordon Stanley is one of the most in demand drummers and percussionist in the Maryland, Eastern Shore area today.  Starting at the age of 9, Jordon began reading music, playing in the marching band, jazz band, concert band, and his home church from 5th grade to the conclusion of high school. As he reflects on the sounds of his childhood growing up in the small town of Preston Maryland, Bony James, Marcus Miller, Wayman Tisdale, Al Jarreau and many others are the most memorable. After graduating high school Jordon spent two semesters at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), studied music education, he then began traveling, and networking.

During his days at UMES, Jordon stumbles upon the art of spoken word poetry. As a life time lover of words and lyric through hip hop, the passion he found in writing raps and poetry with his colleagues in his teens lead him to performing at churches, poetry slams, and graduation ceremonies. If jazz is considered home then poetry and spoken word serve as the back yard where a hobby and a career collide. In 2019 he released his first poetry compilation book titled “Poems From A Poem” and in 2021 he released “Creative Sessions Vol. 1”, a completely improvised jazz album created in one day, over eight hours with musicians who have never played together before.

Jordon has worked with artist such as Princess Lee, Kentavius Jones, Blackwater, Del Florida, The Front Porch Orchestra, Jay Bratten, Kaneisha "Neecee" Trott, Larry Daniels, The WillMBand, Skribe, Jessie Marie, Clarence Ward iii & Dat Feel Good, The Delmarva Big Band, Heartside, Noah Pierre, Mlln, Anthony "Chip" Bailey, Everett Young & Endeavor, and a number of acoustic duo's, and musical theatre productions.
